Cool Afro-Salsa Shines by Dr. Salsa (Salsa Concept)

Dr. Salsa's coming back to Manila, and he's bringing the moves! Roland Amoussou, the Parisian law-professor-by-day DJ/dance guru-by-night, flies in from Bangkok next week to spend a few days with us. He is holding a workshop at CH3 Fort titled "Cool Afro-Salsa Shines by Dr. Salsa" for those looking to step up their game. A P100 donation is suggested to the foundation he heads AsiAfrica, which fosters friendship and culture between the two continents, and is approved by the king of Thailand. Dr. Salsa has made it his mission to share his heritage from his native Benin, the African country where the "clave" in salsa is believed to originate from. He also heads up Salsa Concept in Bangkok, a group dedicated to promoting awareness about global cultural expressions, under the guidance of the UNESCO International Dance Council of which he is a member. Dr. Salsa is also DJ'ing on Saturday night at CH1 Makati Ave, 7838 Makati Ave 10pm.
