About this Event

Taught by Tina Singh and Niko "Suave" Salgado Counter-balance Moves This is an exploration/styling class. This is primarily emphasized from the tango world. How to understand creating the proper position so you can also do the same positioning to extend your body to positions and rotate around in a spot, most styled leg positions are optional as long as the connection is maintained. There are counter-balance opportunities for both leaders and followers. One handed dancing This is an exploration/combination class, to truly understand how the dance works, you can access most of your patterns using just 1 hand/arm. Dancers get injured sometimes and can only use 1 arm, some don’t physically have another arm. How to overcome this seemingly interesting obstacle will create new possibilities for limitless dancing! The options can be 1 hand only leading to followers 2 hands, leaders 2 hand leading to follower’s 1 hand, and 1 hand to 1 hand lead/follow (left or right hands).
