Cristell Reyes: spreading Wisdom &folklore w Alpha Mu Gamma

Above the cafeteria that's next to the fountain off Walton way) Cristell Reyes is a Mezzo-Soprano, Voice Teacher, Dance Instructor, Business Owner, Executive Director & choreographer who began her music studies in her native land of Puerto Rico at the Escuela Libre de Música de San Juan. She began her formal studies at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. In 2002, she performed with the Conservatory chorus in a music festival held in Tuscany, Italy. Ms. Reyes also performed with professional opera choruses with the Teatro de la Ópera and Ópera de Puerto Rico. She débuted in the role of Doña Ceveriana in the zarzuela, La Verbena de la Paloma with the Fundación de Zarzuela y Opereta. In the United States, she performed with several professional opera choruses including the: Orlando Opera Company, Vero Beach Opera Company, and Augusta Opera Company. Ms. Reyes founded Voces Líricas Del Mundo (a Spanish division of the Orlando Opera Co) in August of 2007 and débuted as La Curandera in the opera buffa (comic opera) La Historia De Aquel Que Se Casó Con Mujer Muda by Alberto Guidobaldi. Ms. Reyes currently resides in Augusta, Georgia where she performed the role of the novice in the opera Suor Angelica with The Augusta Opera Company and also performed in Speak Easy at the Ballroom Dance Center Showcase. Other professional appearances in Augusta area were at the: Augusta Choral Society, Most Holy Trinity Choir, Musical Theatre Workshops, Augusta State University Music Department, and Harry Jacob Foundation. Cristell is studying opera with Dr. Linda Banister. After taking formal dance instruction for the last 4 years local studios in town notice Ms. Reyes talent for dancing and about two years ago she has added a rigorous training as dance teacher of Ballroom, Salsa, West Coast Swing, and Argentine Tango dances, with two local studios Ballroom In Motion and A&E Dance Studio. In January 2016 she decides to opened Fusion Ballroom of Augusta in Martinez G.A. where she teaches all the styles of dancing and specialize in the passionate Argentine Tango making her the youngest Tanguera in town specialize in this dance. She also teaches Voice lessons at Musical Theatre Workshops for the past six years and was the Executive Director of the Columbia County Choral Society. Ms. Reyes now is also teaching voice lessons in her own studio Fusion Ballroom under her new division of the studio call Lyrical Voices of the World (Voces Liricas del Mundo). Ms. Reyes has become in our eyes a real triple threat.
