CSDS May 2025 Dance and Workshop Event with Erica Smith

Workshop Schedule: 2:45pm: “Along for the Ride (Wheeeee!)” Erica will teach us how to execute some fun and easy rides for followers…AND leaders! Level: Intermediate and up. 4:00pm: “Variety is the Spice of Life.” New ways to dress up your familiar basics! Level: Novice to Advanced (must know basic WCS patterns). 7:00pm (pre-dance lesson, included with social): a fun new pattern. Level: Novice to Advanced (must know basic WCS patterns) 8-10:30pm: Monthly social dance, with Erica as DJ! About Erica: Erica is a versatile dancer from the Washington, D.C. area with extensive backgrounds in West Coast Swing, Hustle, Ballet and Salsa. Erica is an active Champion West Coast Swing competitor as a follower, Advanced/All Star West Coast Swing competitor as a leader, and a long time Director of JT Swing Teams DC – a performance based West Coast Swing Team. Erica has also won numerous Switchly contests (Lead, Follow, Switch) in West Coast Swing. Erica is passionate about sharing her love of dance with her students. As a 15-time Top Teacher recipient, Erica is a highly sought-after instructor. Erica travels to 15-20 competitions and workshop weekends per year as an invited instructor, judge, performer, and Master of Ceremonies. Erica is a brilliant dancer and teacher who leaves a lasting impression on her admiring audiences and students.
