Although we will be based in Havana, we will reach out to communities both in and outside the city — and further afield if transport allows. With your additional sponsorship, this not-for-profit trip is about raising as much money as we can to continue buying more families food and giving a daily meal to those unable to feed themselves. This unique experience allows you to connect with local communities and families, offer meaningful support, and witness the resilience and warmth of the Cuban people. Alongside the humanitarian work, you will be immersing yourself in the vibrant rhythms of Cuban dance, music, and culture. This approach also supports self-employed families, providing a vital lifeline they rely on through tourism. It’s an unforgettable journey that combines compassion, connection, and cultural discovery. This is more than travel — it’s an opportunity to make a real difference. cu COST & REQUIREMENTS: 💰 DEPOSIT A deposit of £250 payable to eagle activity tours will secure your place. (or equivalent in other currencies) 🤝 SPONSORSHIP Minimum monetary amount you need to raise is £1,140. anything more is fabulous! your sponsorship will go directly to the cost of food parcels and meal distribution . 🧳 ADDITIONAL 23KG+ SUITCASE Each participant will include an additional suitcase with their flight booking ✈️. the cost of £60 has been removed from the sponsorship to include this fee. a list of contents will be given to everyone, and it is your responsibility to fill it with the required donations. ✈️ RECOMMENDED FLIGHT From the UK 🇬🇧 the recommended flight is with Air Europa. Eagle Activity Tours Ltd is a long-established, fully protected UK specialist tour company that has been organising group holidays around the world since 1998. For many years we have been taking groups to cuba 🇨🇺 for dance, culture and trekking experiences. today, these journeys have evolved into something even more meaningful — combining travel with real humanitarian support for communities in need. Lindsey, the main organiser of the cuban trips, has worked in cuba since 2008 and spends a significant part of her life there. over the years she has built strong relationships with local communities and has witnessed first-hand the daily challenges many cuban families face. A passionate advocate for humanitarian aid, Lindsey works directly with people on the ground as well as alongside animal protectors in cuba. she has raised funds and awareness for those struggling through difficult times and has personally carried countless suitcases filled with donated essentials every time she travels. In recognition of her commitment, Lindsey was invited to be a Trustee of the charity Aid4C in 2023. Aid4C regularly sends 40-foot containers filled with vital medical supplies, clothing and essential goods to cuba. one recent container — carrying over £2 million worth of aid — is currently on its way to Santiago following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. The charity is constantly working to raise funds and donations to send the next life-saving shipment. When Lindsey is in Cuba, she works directly with local communities to ensure that every pound raised is turned into real, practical help — buying food, cooking meals and distributing them to the people who need them most, alongside essential medical supplies and basic toiletries. Now lindsey is inviting others to stand alongside her, because together we can reach more communities, support more families, and make a far greater impact. This is not just about visiting cuba 🇨🇺. It is about compassion, connection and bringing real help to those who need it most. cu OTHER INFORMATION 🏠 ACCOMMODATION you will be accommodated together in local casas. each bedroom will have a private bathroom and common areas of the casa will be shared. breakfast is included in your stay. 🔦 BE PREPARED you are visiting cuba 🇨🇺 at a time of great need. Expect power cuts – when in cuba we adapt and make the most of the situation and you can too. plan in advance and make sure you have a torch, solar charging power bank, and a lifestraw on hand. Expect transport to be difficult and go with the flow as things can change at a moment’s notice. 💡 DO YOU HAVE SKILLS? If you have a skill that could help brighten someone’s day, we would love to know! you might be a hairdresser, singer, nail artist, photographer, nurse — or have another talent or experience that could bring joy, care, or creativity to others. whenever possible, we bring members of the local community together for a special day of kindness and connection.
