Cuban Salsa Musicality With Luca Colella & La Familia Salsa Band & a special guest Aldo Ferrara

We are INCREDIBLY excited to invite you this 3 hours (+live music dancing) workshop! This is something new for DanceDifferent & Prague. A Cuban Salsa musicality workshop with 🎻🎺La Familia live salsa band 🎻🎺 and a multi-year European Champion in Afro-Caribbean dances 🕺Luca Colella🕺. And be ready for a special guest Aldo Ferrara playing timbales. The goal of this workshop is to give you a better understanding of the music behind Cuban Salsa/Casino and how dancers can use this knowledge to improve their dance. So If you are interested in Cuban Salsa as a dancer, musician, or curious spectator, this workshop is for you. It will be divided into two sections: 1️⃣ The first part of the lesson will be dedicated to salsa musical theory. You will learn about the 5 most important instruments in Cuban Salsa, their beats & rhythms and how they connect to each other to create a Salsa Tumbao (the typical salsa pattern/music). All of this will be done together with practical exercises. 2️⃣ Short 15min break - refreshments/snacks available in studio. 3️⃣ The second half of the lesson will focus on practical steps & patterns that you can do while dancing salsa that build & connect to the music. 4️⃣ La Familia will continue playing until 22:00 where dancers can stay and dance to live music. 🎚LEVEL� This course is open level for anyone who dances Cuban Salsa or is simply interested in the music.
