Invitation to all Cuban salsa & son lovers in and around Copenhagen! It is with great pleasure, that we now can invite you to a super lovely workshop weekend with “Cuban Salsa, Timba & Son Musicality" in Copenhagen Oct. 26-27 with Yanek Revilla from Santiago de Cuba. Yanek Revilla is among the very best Cuban dancers, instructors and communicators of the Cuban salsa, timba and son musicality, where Yanek teaches in fluent English and with a high pedagogical level. Which you can just look forward to enjoy! The purpose of the weekend is to offer you an extra input and inspiration to develop your musicality understanding, so you can be even better to spice up and play with your Cuban salsa and son at the dance floor. The weekend is organized as following: Saturday 26 Oct: Workshops in Cuban salsa, timba and musicality Sunday 27 Oct.: Workshops in Cuban son and musicality The workshops ends at 16.00 PM so it´s possible to join the Maykel Blanco Concert on Saturday at Amager Bio and the Salsa Evening Event on Sunday in Kedelhallen. 2. TIMBA-PROGRAM: Saturday, October 26 12.30-13.30: Intro Cuban Salsa, Timba & Musicality (WS 1) Theoretical and practical introduction to Cuban salsa & timba music and musicality with illustration of the many lovely dance styles and -possibilities the timba music offers. 13.45-14.45: Salsa & Timba Musicality (WS 2) With practical musicality exercises in how you can spice up your salsa by incorporating small salsa figures, moves, foot work and effects. 15.00-16.00: Rumba & Timba musicality (WS 3) With practical musicality exercises in how to spice up your salsa by incorporating small rumba figures, moves, foot work and effects. The 3 workshops are both for intermediate and advanced dancers 3. SON-PROGRAM - Sunday, October 27 11.30-13.00: Son & Musicality de Santiago (Int.) (WS 4) With small classical son figures, paseos & tornillos - with practical musicality exercises in flow and how to dispose where to dance what in a son number. The workshop is for intermediate son dancers - and advanced dancers also can participate. 13.15-14.45: Son & Musicality de Santiago (adv.) (WS 5) With small classical son figures, paseos, tornillos & falls - with practical musicality exercises in flow and how to dispose where to dance what in a son number. The workshop is for advanced son-dancers 15.00-16.00: Social dance (All) – “Salon del Son” / DJ-Yanek 4. Prices Timba workshops (WS 1+2+3) 1 Timba workshop…. 150 kr. 2 Timba workshops… 300 kr. 3.
