He has a Japanese, Italian, and German background and was born and raised in Lima, Peru. At the end of the 90s he began his career as a DJ and a producer of Latin events. He trained in Cuba in El Conjunto Nacional de Cuba and in 2001, he started his career as a professional dancer. He learned Salsa and Bachata from the best dancers of those times ,such as LUIS VAZQUEZ, ALBERTO ROMAY, SEON BRISTOL, FERNANDO SOSA, TROY, ALIEN RAMIREZ, etc and for Kizomba, from the great Master NELSON CAMPOS; making his dance something unique and dynamic but at the same time elegant. - In 2001 he participated in the Japan Salsa Congress and was invited 8 more times. - In 2004 he was invited to the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress with his dance company. He also participated in the Hong Kong Salsa Festival 2007 and continued his work internationally in Italy, Korea, USA, China, etc. - In 2011, Erick established his own dance studio, Raiz Latina. A year later he created his professional dance company, EO Dance Company. As a competitor he has competed from 2008 to this day in various national and international competitions becoming 7 times Bachata champion and 2 times Salsa champion in Japan, internationally his most recent achievements were coming 2nd place in Bachata Professional division in 2016 in Hong Kong, and professional Bachata champion in Bangkok 2018 Today, he continues to be a great ambassador in Japan, helping spread the Latin culture, and producing great international events and inviting incredible dancers from all over the world to Japan.
