INSTRUCTORS ***************************************************** TATO Dairan Castillo Ramos known as Tato from Cuba started his artistic life from an early age, at the age of 10 started his first ballet and contemporary dance. Almost 16 years after entering various dance schools he is known as a professional dancer. At the age of 21, he joined Cabaret Tropicana Santiago. At the age of 25, he was evaluated as an artistic choreographer in Santiago de Cuba. He has worked in Corales Carisol and Sierra Mar. He has featured globally in Cuba, Philippines, China, Russia, US and etc. He was invited to performed salsa with his partner this year in Malaysia. He is a dance professor of Salsacha, salsa, ballet contemporary, cabaret, afro, rumba, chachacha, meringue, bachata son and etc. His natural style and grace compliments his wealth of experience. Tato’s unique and showy dance style had brought him recognition in salsa scenes and would love to spread his knowledge to dance lovers. ROXY Roxana Freire Veliz known as Roxy did her 4 years Professional Dancer Diploma from Art Professor School (EIA) in Santiago de Cuba. She has attended 4 years intensive Ballet and Flamenco course from Spanish Dance Academy in Santiago de Cuba. She has also attended 3 years of intermediate and advance level course from Liz Alfonso School Havana and Professional Latin dance course in Cabaret Tropicana Santiago school, Cuba. She was invited as a Latin Dance Professor to teach in “Salsa Caribe Club”, Beijing. Also, a professional dancer in the “Ansenta Ballet”, Beijing. She has featured in Cuban television for Flamenco performance. Dance performance in “El medico de Reggeton” video clip with Reinier and dance performance in “Calientate” video clip with Reinier. She is a premier dancer and teacher travelling the globe to share her knowledge in dance. Who can join the workshop? If you are beginner going to intermediate level, you are more than welcome to join. Not to worry that you are unable to follow because we are lucky to have 2 instructors teaching and guiding and they are more than happy to teach more without any additional cost. After all, it is not mechanical techniques. 2. What is Salsacha? Salsacha is a mixture of Salsa & Chachacha. Mixing the 2 dance together with a complete flawless techniques and Tato & Roxy are the only instructors to teach Salsacha in Malaysia. These new combinations will definitely gives us more taste to our usual salsa dancing. 3. Do we need specific music? You can dance Salsacha & Afro Salsa with any salsa music therefore your dance techniques will improve for sure with more "flavors" on the dance floor. 4. Do we need specific shoes for Flamenco? Best if you have Flamenco shoes but if you doesn't have it, its's ok. You can learn the techniques with your salsa shoes and a long flowy skirt.
