Martina Drasarova and Aleksandra Panyukhina (Aleks) are joining forces to bring you the best of reggaeton, cuban rumba, timba musicality, and lady style in Prague this fall. She used to teach jazz dance, dancehall, hip hop, and over the past 10 years fell in love with salsa and cuban culture. She used to dance and perform as a part of the groups Timberos and Tradición in Prague. Martina is always looking to perfect and master new styles, therefore she has been learning from top teachers in Czechia and Europe: Saška Sedláková, Rafael del Busto, Yoyo Flow, Diana Rodriguez, Julio Napoles, Osmani Segura, Fredy Clan and more! Martina’s classes are full of energy, musicality, flow, as well as work on body movement and technique. Aleksandra Panyukhina 🔷Aleksandra has been dancing for more than 10 year with a deep focus on cuban music and dances, and teaching since 2015. Winner of the rumba and son competition "Tiempo de Rumba" in 2016, judged by Jennyselt Galata Calvo and Adonis Panter Calderon. Aleksandra is a frequent festival-goer all around Europe, well-known for her social dancing style, musicality and deep passion for Cuban culture. ABOUT THE CLASSES: ❗️Sep 24 ✴️Salsa con Rumba with Aleks Cuban rumba is the core of the cuban style, and perfecting your basics and musicality will let you feel confident and stylish on the dance floor! We will clean basic steps, solve the puzzle of rumba rhythms, and learn how to add rumba to your social dancing at the right moment. You can expect to work on the mechanics of the movement, as well as find the moves that fit your character and feel of the dance. ✴️Salsa con Reggaeton with Martina Everybody dances salsa, but how do you add reggaeton steps and moves to salsa social dancing? This workshop will teach you exactly that! We will go through many isolations, basic techniques, and easy steps of reggaeton, and create a short choreo of Salsa con Reggaeton! Let’s practice and enjoy the music! ❗️Oct 29 ✴️Reggaeton Urbano with Martina This class will be for people who already know some basics of reggaeton and want to improve and make their reggaeton vocabulary wider. Will focus a lot on body movement and body skills as well. In the end let’s make a choreo to have fun, to feel the music! ✴️Timba Musicality This workshop is not only about learning the choreo - it’s about learning to recognize musical patterns that help create your own dance and hit all the “tasty” accents in timba. We will work on the core body movements and steps to mark “bombas”, learn to predict accents even in the unknown songs, and implement it all on the dancefloor both in couple and solo dancing. ⚠️Dec 3 ✴️Heels with Martina After a long time, back in Prague is an open level Heels workshop with Martina 👠 This class will equip you with fundamental techniques for dancing in heels. We will go through: balance technique jazzy arms walking, posture, and sexy elegant movements. To top it off, we will enjoy a choreo focused on off-balance, musicality, and expression of your sensuality. It will be hot!🔥 ✴️Cuban Lady Style with Aleks For the first time in more than 2 years - Cuban Lady Style workshop with Aleks coming to Prague on Dec 3 💥 How do you bring true cuban feminine energy to the dancefloor and create your own unique lady style? During this class we are going to: Tap into the roots of afrocuban dances Try to fill the dance with various emotions and feelings depending on the music Learn a very special choreo that will make you feel happy, beautiful, energized, and tired at the same time!
