**Cultivating Presence** Contact Improv Workshop 1 - 3 October 2025 This workshop will be very different from my other programs. It is not about technique, skills, physics or acrobatics. It is about magic… magic which happens when we are present in the moment. Though when we look closer this magic becomes technique, but of different kind. Program: - Exercises to master our attention. - Practices to silence our mind. - Games to surprise ourselves. - Exploration of creativity in dance. - Sharpening perception and sensitivity. - Opening access to “the space of unknown”. Wherever you are are in your contact improv journey: in the very beginning or already advanced pretty far - this workshop will open the doors of perception and grant new depth to your dance. As a child Ivan practiced acrobatics & football. From 2005 was practicing yoga & meditation. At the same time, Ivan started to learn different schools of western and eastern philosophy and spiritual teachings. Since 2007 to 2009 studied martial arts. Ivan has been trained in different modern dance styles: butoh, hip-hop, popping, house, jazz funk, contemporary dance, tango. Other movement practices that he studied: Ideokinesis, Axis Syllabus & Movement Culture, Flow Arts & Physical Theatre. For the first time Ivan encountered contact improvisation in 2013, and has been teaching contact improvisation since 2018. He has been facilitating Contact Improvisation in Russia, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong & South Korea and organizing international courses and residencies.
