Curious Mechanics: Contact Improvisation w Karl Frost: Leipzig

Contact improvisation is a bit like a "non-martial" martial art: playful challenge, collaborative kinetic meditation, and biomechanical poetics. In this workshop we explore the felt physics of two bodies moving together, mechanically interdependent and mutually sensing. We'll surrender into gravity, play with giving and receiving weight, follow the long spiraling chains of fascia through the body, and use contemporary release technique (the "Passive Sequencing" work) to cultivate calm and awareness in motion. The workshop is a mix of planned material and an improvised journey through related work and training based on who comes. Body work. Mind work. And some sweat. 📅 Sat/Sun, 7-8 November, 12-18h 📍 Fudoshin Aikido Dojo, Plagwitz, Leipzig 🗣 Taught in English (some help in German, Ukrainian, and Spanish) 💶 €120-240 sliding scale (early registration before 17 Oct: €90-240).
