Felipe is a Brazilian instructor who has been a scholar of dance for over 12 years, studying and teaching around the world. He’s here in NC for the summer partnering with Queen City Zouk to teach us what he knows and loves about Brazilian Zouk. We’re excited to have him visiting us here in the Triangle. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The Brazilian zouk and bachata scenes are active and growing here in the Triangle. As Brazilian zouk and bachata, two entirely different dances, have spread, evolved, and branched off into fusion genres, they’ve become quite complementary. They share some elements like body rhythms, musicality, and sensual tone. And cool, interesting things happen when you put the two together. So, we’re excited to dance the night away with both. Dance bachata all night in the Bachata Room. Dance zouk all night in the Zouk Room. Bounce back and forth between both rooms. OR… If you’re feeling creative and fusiony, dance *Zoukchata* in either room! There will be plenty of fusion tracks played alongside a few good old authentic tracks.
