Dance 4 life - Charity Dance Weekend

DANCE 4 LIFE is an event created with the aim of collecting funds for the Irish Cancer Society and the Humanitarian Crisis of Venezuela. In Ireland, an average of 40,000 new cases of cancer are diagnosed each year. Cancer is the second biggest killer in Ireland, it accounts for approximately 30% of deaths every year. We now know that 4 out of 10 cancers can be prevented. By not smoking, eating healthily, watching our weight and alcohol intake and exercising we are taking a big step in lowering our risk of cancer. Dancing can be a way to stay fit for people of all ages, shapes and sizes. It has a wide range of physical and mental benefits and we want to dedicate a weekend of dancing to fight Cancer and create awareness on how it can be prevented. This Year we will donate 80% to the Irish Cancer Sociaty and 20% of the event profit to help with the Humanitarian Crisis that Venezuela is passing through, the worst in the Western Hemisphere, with more than 3 million people displaced in the region. There is a shortage of around 85 percent of all medicines in the country. The economic crisis in Venezuela has claimed thousands of innocent lives, especially the most vulnerable children. We are running the second edition this year, having two days full of dancing with most of Ireland Latin dance Schools participating. An event where the dance community gathers together for one cause.
