Dance Blender 2022

✨ Vision We envision a space where social partner dancers come together as social partner dancers first and then dancers of a style, to recognize that there is one language of social partner dancing and we chose whether or not to dance dialects of that language. 📍 Quick overview - 3 party nights on 2 dance floors + a pre-party on October 6th(https://fb.me/e/2EJoac4dM) - 4 days of workshops of international teachers of different dance style backgrounds - music of different genres 🔹 Instructors We are honored to be bringing together instructors from all different types of social partner dancing styles that align with our vision. All of our amazing instructors have some sort of fusion/freestyle aspect to their dancing and will only teach technique, musicality, or connection-oriented classes at Dance Blender, no pattern/choreo based classes will happen. All the lessons will be on the themes of technique, musicality, or connection in social partner dancing and none of them will be pattern/choreo based. You will be shown and given the tools to create the dances you want between you and your dance partner(s). 🎵 Music We have looked far and wide for the perfect DJs and musicians to be part of Dance Blender. All of them are versatile in what they play and are ready to have the music dance your socks off, for over 20 hours of parties across two rooms! We will be having two rooms during the main party with changing themes every hour throughout the night. These themes are dance style agnostic and the majority of the music played will not be of a particular dance style, more details to come. Volunteers volunteer for two three hour shifts throughout the festival and in return are given a full pass to the festival.
