DANCE CHURCH

Dear friends, after a week break in output after my move to Glastonbury, I'm delighted to be getting back into the groove to bring you my first set at Dance Church Avalon on Saturday, December 20th, 1-3pm. Some of you only know me as the dancer, who lights up the space, but I've also got 20+ years' experience as a conscious dance facilitator & creatrix behind me, so immersing myself in music & crafting exquisite play-lists is both a practised art & deep passion of mine. Join me for this pre-Solstice dance where I'll be playing a heart-centred shamanic fusion of devotional, dubstep, downtempo, soulful & Afro-house, progressive EDM, jazz & folk, that will move you from the inside out. Dance Church is an ecstatic dance event that happens every Saturday, 1-3pm at Pendragon House, Butleigh Road, Glastonbury, bringing together an alternating roster of incredible DJ's & dance aficionados in a welcoming community space. It's a donation-based event with a suggested contribution of £10, but all are welcome regardless of means. Dance Church encourages free movement and personal expression, simultaneously solidifying our community's collective consciousness. As a conscious dance event our guidelines are: No alcohol. No drugs. No shoes. No phones. No chatting on the dance-floor. Welcome <3 <3 <3 For those who've never been before: 1) leave your shoes by the door as you come in 2) bring your coats/bags upstairs to the dance space with you and store them neatly to the side 3) bring water to hydrate, though water is available if you forget 4) cash donations are placed in a bowl usually found at the front right hand side of the room
