Dance for a Cause Paradizo fire fundraiser All passes sold, join waitlist

In a devastating loss to Brisbane's Latin Dance community, Paradizo's dance studio in Albion was last night destroyed by a fire. School directors Carlos and Chloe normally live above their dance studio and that, too, appears to have been burned out along with all their belongings. Noone was hurt in the blaze with everyone who was attending the studio at the time safely evacuated. There is not much that we are able to do for Carlos and Chloe other than to show our support and raise funds that will slightly ease their financial burden. On Saturday 13th November, Dance Culture (in Annerley) will host a fund-raiser event that will include Salsa/Bachata workshops and a party. All funds raised will be promptly passed on to our friends Carlos and Chloe. If the full passes do not sell out by Thursday evening, party-only passes will be released. Non-attending, donation-only passes are available at any time. Please be conscious that buying an attending pass is reserving a limited spot so if your circumstances change and you cannot attend on the day, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can invite the next person on the waitlist. 550+ people have indicated that they would like to attend but we are limited by studio size and also covid-related restrictions.
