Dance Lab 130 :: MOONLIT x BAE x Dance As Offering

For this week's Dance Lab, this will be an evening curated by BAE sound. Renk Kocturk returns to lead us in a guided class titled "Dance As Offering". This will be followed by an Ecstatic Dance DJ Keena.Maya and a closing sound meditation with being:sound. Space is limited, so we suggest buying your ticket in advance. About the class: "“Dance as Offering: Join us in an exploration of sound, movement, & offering. As we move guided, supported and protected by ourselves, our ancestors, and each other. Tapping into both the light & darkness of our past, present, and future selves. This class will introduce different movement modalities to strengthen our connection to the earth, while also opening our hearts to the wisdom & guidance within us. By weaving meditation, sound, movement, and journaling we will seamlessly flow into the Ecstatic Dance set with Keena.Maya." . Dance Lab is a weekly class presented by Ecstatic Dance NYC with the intention of creating a consistent space for us to gather as a community to Dance. It will be lighter version of the monthly Ecstatic Dances; fewer people, a more intimate space and some facilitation to experiment with different ways of expressing ourselves using sound and movement. Each class will have a warm-up class, where we will invite in different teachers from various forms of Dance, movement, singing and other modalities for us to explore and experiment with. From there, we will transition into an Ecstatic Dance with a DJ where we will integrate what we learned during the class into the Dance itself. . What to Bring: 1. Loose-fitting clothes that let you move your body and free yourself 2. Water and a water bottle. You can refill it at the venue.
