Dance Lab :: INDOOR REUNION :: Gaia NoMaya

It's been two years since we've been able to dance indoors, and we're SO excited to finally announce our first indoor gathering at Gaia NoMaya's beautiful space in Brooklyn! Join us on Friday February 4th for a Dance Lab journey. Let's MOVE and CONNECT and SWEAT together! We'll start with a guided movement class with special guest facilitator Miriam Rubin followed by an Ecstatic Dance DJ set with Omar Aena and ending with a sound meditation + closing circle. ~ About the class: Sacred Winter: Somatic Ritual for Release and Rebirth Cultures around the world honor the midpoint of Winter as a sacred time of potent darkness giving way to the light of creation. Join us for an embodied ritual to honor these past two years of "winter" and cleanse ourselves for the arrival of spring. About the facilitator: Miriam Rubin is a Somatic Spiritual Guide, Ordained Officiant and Minister, and Modern Medicine Womxn who is dedicated to co-creating soul-affirming spaces through community rituals, music, nature-connection, somatic healing and soul purpose mentoring. He is the founder of Dance Lab, a Brooklyn-based community that explores dance as a form of somatic therapy. He has hosted many events around the world, including retreats and group trips that immerse in sacred music cultures. His mission is to create transformational experiences through music and dance for people from all walks of life. As a DJ he mixes together traditional music of the past with electronic music of the present, with a particular focus on songs from his middle-eastern heritage.
