This is our Earth Day Celebration! We get to dance, play and pray this SUN DAY! Dance Medicine Family! It's that special time again for Sunday Dance Church. Let's move our bodies in ceremonial celebration to bless up the earth, as we ARE She. Earth Day blessings, family! Join us on Sunday, April 21st as we move our bodies at the Lithuanian Music Hall! We are blessed to welcome Joy Okoye to the stage � .•* Joy Okoye (aka Shakti Mama) singer/songwriter and experimental and ceremonial vocalist After a spiritual awakening, Joy began to channel unique sound frequencies and messages of hope, revelation, and mystery. Joy now bridges sacred, therapeutic and artistic spaces with her voice, working as a sound healer who travels and facilitates transformative experiences and events with her unique vocalizations. She is currently in the studio working on an EP to be released later this year. Joy Okoye explores world and crossover music blending psychedelic, last century, remix top-40, ethereal, modern classical & EDM mix, multi-cultural tribal, ancient-future bass, and is known to infuse the space with her unique improv vocals while creating sacred dance journeys to offer a sonic space for healing, free-form and authentic expression. ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ But first.... (If you have felt sick, had a fever or cough, please do not attend.) Masks are welcome if that is appropriate for you, they will not be enforced. Dance Medicine Philly is a drug & alcohol free event. We ask that there is no talking on the dance floor and no cameras used during the event. Please respect this as our intention is to offer folks a safe, supportive place to dance, move wiggle and wobble into full self expression. �� �� .�� � Some things to consider bringing: Water bottle, yoga mat, something warm to cover with for the sound healing, acoustic instruments such as drums/rattles, fire and flow toys like hula hoops, juggling balls, and poi. Come whenever you can arrive. If you need to come in late or leave early, this is ok. Kids of all ages are welcome too!! ����� GUIDELINES :: 1. Dance however you wish 2. No talking on the dance floor 3. Respect the space, honor yours and other boundaries 4. No drugs or alcohol 5. No shoes on the dance floor (unless foot protection is necessary) 6.
