This Full moon will be in Scorpio creating the need to delve into our feelings as deep as possible. You desire meaningful emotional exchanges now more than at any other time even if it is not easy and you are forced to change many things. Shallow relationships do not satisfy you, because they are not purifying enough. And so we invite the full moon to help us open our heart, connecting with our inner world and dance of polarities and to celebrate our journey. The energy of Beltane supports us in dropping deeply into the heart and listening to its voice. We will set clear seeds of intention and take time to honour the union of masculine and feminine within all of us. * STRUCTURE The Dance of Love will start with a Cacao Ceremony facilitated by Cacao sorceress Deya. Calling in the spirit of Cacao, honoring the directions, the wheel of life and the natural world, we shall unite together in stillness and prayer, asking for the loving spirits of the land and our nurturing ancestors to join us, supporting us in finding clarity, illuminating what is within our hearts and our dreams for this astrological new year and season. We will then dance with Pixi Pete, who will hold the Ecstatic Dance, where we shall move through the elements inviting them to support and guide us to access our authentic needs and wishes, empowering them with our movement, breath and sound. Once we drink our Cacao, set our intentions and dance through the elements, we will finish with a meditation to integrate our journey and send love out to all the world. We will close with a short sharing circle. We really look forward to gathering with you at this difficult and powerful time. One of Cacao's active compounds is Theobromine; this compound has been shown to contribute significantly to sleep duration and quality, compared with other dietary supplements. Theobromine alongside caffeine and theophylline are part of a group called Methylxanthines; interestingly, the combination of theobromine and caffeine in Cacao appears to offer many of the associated benefits of methylxanthines with few of the negative effects associated with solely caffeine consumption. It is true that Cacao is a stimulant and yet it is so much more than that! If you drink coffee and are able to sleep at night you will be ok with Cacao at this time. If you are sensitive to caffeine, rest assured that CacaoAmor has very little of it and more of the other compounds. It is an invitation to lean into, trust and give full expression to sensations and emotions in the body. For thousands of years and all around the planet, in all cultures such as the native Americans and whirling dervishes, to name a couple, dance has been used as a communal, ritualistic, healing force. The use of movement and dance is not only a form of exercise, it also promotes emotional and social integration! Through dance you can get in touch with your emotions, exploring and expressing them. This helps release tension in the body and a gives a chance for any emotions waiting under the surface to be expressed. This helps restore the dancer with self-regulation, relaxation, wholeness, aliveness and releases stress. The use of music and sound, plays a vital role in this too. The music and the sound waves that are heard hold the space for the expression, especially facilitating any repressed or unexpressed emotions to be released. Emotions are energy in motion! They are an intrinsic part of the human experience. Ecstatic dance is a place to journey with movement and just let your hair down in a safe space. Its a free-form dance, with the intention to get the dancer out of the head and completely into the body. With little to no instructions, this allows the dancer to be completely free in their movement and expression to the music. Much like at a club night or festival, but importantly without the presence of potentially harmful drugs and alcohol. Using a wide rage of genres to suit all ages and all fitness levels, the music is the vehicle to rise the energy up to then break into something more gentle and soothing, allowing for various waves and flows, with sometimes up to three peaks in a dance. * YOUR FACILITATORS - Pixi Pete With over a decade of embodiment practices, self development workshops and as a musician, Peter has developed his Djing skills to a high level. Over the last 5 years “Pixi” has propelled himself onto the Conscious Dance scene, collaborating with a whole host of amazing and talented artists, facilitators and organizers. Initially making a name for himself in Glastonbury, Somerset. He is known for incorporating live drumming from his Djembe, Bongos and Drum Synth into his sets, adding extra layers to the music, and really getting the crowd going. He can be found DJing at festivals and conscious dance events across England. Deya has been sharing Cacao in ceremony since 2014. Since 2019 she has been working with a cooperative in Ecuador exporting ceremonial grade cacao.
