Dance Pod Reunion -- All are welcome!

SCHEDULE: - 7:30pm: Arrival/Socialize/Warm Up - 8:00: Opening Circle - 8:30pm-11:00pm: Dance!!! LOCATION: 3rd Floor Karuna Studio 25 Main St, Northampton, MA COST: $10–$15–$20 sliding scale - cash at the door - Venmo @Ben-Grosscup - PayPal @BenGrosscup *** Volunteer roles available. This dance celebrates a transformative experiment in embodied community known as “Dance Pod,” which continued from September 2021 until May 2022. Contact Improvisation was a major focus, along with other partner dance forms. Dance Pod reflected the widespread social podding occurring at the time. Even during the height of the covid pandemic, we danced together on a weekly basis – sometimes wearing masks. To our knowledge, the dozens of events we held never spread a case of Covid! During the nine months this group existed, members birthed new connections and friendships that live on today. In holding a “reunion,” our intention is not only to dance with the people who made this experiment so meaningful, but also to share the joy of the connections we made with our broader dance community.
