Apukuna, is a multifaceted artist who weaves melodies inspired by the world's medicine songs. He curates 'heart-beats' for the dancefloor while simultaneously crafting sonic storytelling that supports inward reflection and outward expression. His unique approach to DJ’ing involves looping, live remixing, and live digital percussion – making each journey a one-of-kind improvised experience. With a passion for creating transformative spaces, Apukuna invites dancers to embark on a journey into the depths of their being and out into the expansiveness of the universe. Apukuna crafts spaces for transformation. He’s facilitated dancefloors and workshops at BOOM Festival (Portugal), Dreamersland (Poland), Shambhala Music Festival (Canada), Lucidity Festival (USA), Lightning in a Bottle (USA), and Burning Man (USA). An opportunity to grow deeper in connection as community through expression of dance and a safe space to be authentically you. Flow of Dance Portal: 10:30 AM : Portal Opens, Stretch, Connect with Portal Dancers, Land in the Space 10:40 AM : Opening Circle & Grounding/Embodiment Practice 10:50 AM : Dance Journey Begins (No talking on Dance Floor, No phones) 12:10 PM Savasana Integration Resting in Stillness with Live Sound Healing by Felix Bourbeau serenading with his many instruments. 12:20 PM Closing Circle 12:30 PM Portal Closes, Socialize till 1 PM Amber Wolf Moon and/or Felix Bourbeau will be guiding the warm up and closing integration so you can feel embodied, open and grounded with live sound healing in the ending integration. There will be an opportunity to socialize in a cozy corner zone where talking is allowed with a mindful volume. On the dance floor there is no talking - just communicating and expressing through authentic movement, sounds and interactive play with our beloved community. Sober. No Phones. No perfumes or cologne. Natural deodorant is encouraged. You are welcome to come as you are. No dance experience is necessary.
