We are a welcoming, inclusive, consent-driven & non-judgmental container with a ceremonial, sacred emphasis. Dance Portal has alternating local and guest DJ’s that bring a variety of genres, tempos, feelings, peaks and valleys and yin to the yang experience. We always begin with a guided embodiment practice and end with sound healing. About the DJ: Amber Wolf Moon curates an intentional set for us to Dance as a prayer and medicine for our body, mind and spirit! Amber will also offer a short embodiment practice at the beginning so we can land in our bodies, heart and breath - coregulating our nervous systems together to support the whole of the dance journey. Amber Wolf Moon brings a howlin' of a wild time to all her offerings including her DJ sets and somatic facilitation. She and her partner Mossy Tree are the co-founders and resident DJ's of Dance Portal for the past two years consistently weekly. Amber has been offering ecstatic dance journeys since she arrived to Nelson 5 years ago. She has also offered and started ecstatic dances in many other places around Canada and in other countries for almost a decade. She continues to uplevel each offering with an emphasis on fun, primal expression, play, sensuality, embodiment and sacredness. Her background as a Somatic Therapist and Embodiment Guide weaves into how she holds the space through her music journey - attuning and listening to what's needed. Her intention is to activate a shamanic, ceremonial embodied full power expression to ignite the inner fire, embrace fluidity, and feel grounded in our authentic wholeness journeying together in love! Amber's music style is worldly, percussion driven, funky, bouncy, house music oriented, with always coming back to organic sounds. She keeps it fresh with always finding delicious, new tracks from intentional artists around the world. Medicine music, downtempo and organic house are her main specialties with flavours of old classics, disco, tribal psytrance and booty poppin' beats.
