Dance with Our Ancestors & Dumb Supper Ritual at the MRC

𝕯𝖆𝖓𝖈𝖊 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍 𝕬𝖓𝖈𝖊𝖘𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖘 Join us when the veil is thin at the gorgeous Montague Retreat Center for a night of honoring our ancestors through intentional dining, musical ritual and ecstatic dance. You can expect a multi-course curated meal along with wine pairings through this Dumb Supper Ritual meal. The tables will be set and designed by Botanicoco. We invite you to bring a photo or an object (not required) of an ancestor that you would like to honor and dine with on this night of magic. *Check out the menu in the discussion* ______________________________________________________________________ 𖦹 PART 2: (Death and Chocolates + Musical Ritual): 𖦹 After dinner, we will head into the Great Hall and start with an offering by Kaitlyn Cronin, called 'Death and Chocolate' Kaitlyn will guide us on an honoring of those we have welcomed through the dining experience, with an offering of homemade ceremonial grade cacao truffles. Afterward dinner, we will embark on a stunning interactive performance by the group, Incus. They will be presenting a special set of songs attuned to the moment. This includes ancestor songs, ghost songs and songs of healing and honoring our bloodlines. This will include the group's first performance of "All Hallow's Eve" in over a decade. This stunning theatrical piece, a story of a couple, the widower and the ghost of his wife, sensing one another while the veil is thin, desperately calling for a sign, so they may stay true to their eternal vows. The part of the widower will be danced by Moti Zemmelman and the part of the ghost will be danced by Taina Lyons. Incus members: Jason Cohen-songwriter, keys, vocals and percussion, Charlotte Malin-Collins-violin, viola, vocals, Tobey Sol LaRoche-percussion vocals, Glenn Smith-vocals, percussion, Nico D'Amico-bass, Nick Mikita-vocals, & Sarah Huber, vocals & percussion, and Imani Elijah on kit and percussion. ______________________________________________________________________ ECSTATIC DANCE with Father Otter and ANCESTRAL MAGICAL OFFERING by Murrie "Murry" Echo: Afterwards we will be taken on a musical journey by DJ Father Otter, offering an ecstatic dance set for all of the spirits from all over the world that choose to be with us.
