Dance Workshops

So to prepare for the Dance Salsa Social, we have been so lucky to have Paul Saunders come down from Auckland to conduct some workshops on the day to help us with our fundraising efforts! He will be one of our performers for the night, showcasing his winning routine from the New Zealand Salsa Open... Paul has a strong musical foundation. He started Ballroom and Latin at the age of 5, competing and placing first at the age of 7. At the age of 13 Paul attended The Corelli School of the Arts to further his musical and dramatic learning, and was also a part of the sound, lighting and stage production crew and took up Ballroom and Latin once more. Around the same time he also started Rueda De Casino. Paul now runs his own dance school “La Costa Dance” in Auckland at two locations, specialising in Salsa and Bachata. He also has DJed at many Latin dance events like NZ Salsa Championships, Viva Sunday Social, Club Bachata and his own La Costa Dance Latin social to name a few. Paul believes that the art of music is the key to a happy healthy life. He loves the fact he can share his years of knowledge and relay his happiness onto others. All workshops will be open level and progressive throughout the day. 11:30 -12:30 am - Salsa Connection and Musicality 12:30 - 1:30 - Salsa Patterns for the social dance floor 1:30 -2:00 - Lunch break ( there will be sandwhiches and baking for sale ) 2:00 - 3:00pm - Bachata Connection and Musicality 3:15 - 4:15 pm - Chachacha Shenanigans 4 workshops including party $50 4 workshops only $40 3 workshops $35 2 workshops $25 1 workshop $15 Paul is also available for privates and shared privates.
