Dancegiving

Dear community, you are invited to a very special Dancegiving Evening. On November 21st join us for a night of community, performance, ritual, intention, and Ecstatic Dance. We are teaming up with people in our dear community to bring this night to life. The intention: We will gather as a community at the beautiful Persona space in Brooklyn to celebrate and come in gratitude for all we have co-created thru the years. This will be an ecstatic dance plus an immersive community experience to ground and connect. Performers & Collaborators: We are bringing together lots of fam to bring this night to life. ➤ TENATIVE SCHEDULE The night will not be a regular edance gathering. Activities will include: potluck (bring a dish), open mic, games, workshops, art, off the dancefloor connections, + more! DOORS - 5:30PM - Come early bring a dish, lets enjoy some off the dance floor hangs, food, beverages, conversation and some performances from our community. Opening - 7:30PM- We are doing things a little different at this dance and this will be less of a full warm up but a moment to connect all of us in gratitude. ECSTATIC DANCE - 8:30PM - The Dance with QVLN + 2Melo CLOSING 11:00PM - Midnight. We will end the night with a sound integration and gratitude. ➤ GUIDELINES: These guidelines allow us to keep the space intentional. There will also be a beautiful lounge space to relax, and enjoy refreshing, alcohol-free beverages and food. 1. No talking on the dance floor (there will be plenty of room to talk of to the sides and lounge area) 2. Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment 3. No photos or videos, cell phones muted and out of sight 4. Respect for the space and one another 5. Move your body however you wish! ➤ WHAT TO BRING: 1. Loose-fitting clothes that let you move your body and free yourself 2. Water and a water bottle. You can refill it at the venue. We do not provide plastic cups as we strive to be a zero-waste event. 3. Coat check will be available to allow dancers to store their coats, bags and other valuables. You can also leave your belongings in the back of the dance floor, but please note that Ecstatic Dance NYC is not responsible for any lost/stolen items. ➤ WHERE: Persona, 202b Plymouth St, Brooklyn, NY 11201 ➤ TICKETS: Tickets starting at $30.
