DanceMode Blues Night — London Bang Studios 8 Marylebone Passage, London W1W 8EX, United Kingdom June series: Blues Grooves, Blues Vernacular — Get in the Groove Blues isn’t one rhythm, one feeling, or one way of moving. Throughout June, we’ll explore a variety of Blues grooves and vernacular movements, learning how different rhythms, textures, and movement qualities shape the dance. We’ll work with movements such as: • Grind • Fishtails • Four Corners • Mooche • and more Through these movements we’ll develop: • Pulse & rhythm • Groove & musicality • Body mechanics & efficiency • Partner connection & communication • Greater confidence and personal expression Each week builds on the last while remaining accessible for drop-ins. Schedule 7:00–8:00 PM — Solo Movement Develop groove, coordination, rhythm, and body awareness. 8:10–9:00 PM — Partnering Apply concepts through connection, timing, guided practice, and social dancing. At DanceMode, we strive to honor the roots, music, aesthetics, improvisation, and social culture of Blues dance while drawing from interdisciplinary movement education to support rhythm, coordination, musicality, embodiment, and personal expression. Our classes center on connection to the music, social dancing, live music whenever possible, and the ongoing cultural legacy of Black American Blues traditions.
