Dancing Eternity with Deva Dawn

“The Dance – it is the rhythm of all that dies in order to live again; it is the eternal rising of the sun.” ~ Isadora Duncan ~ Deva Dawn is our Minister of Music this Sunday! She says, “I had a family member pass through the veil of Death recently. This has led me to look deeply into what is real and true in life and this is the energy that is inspiring my music for this dance. I love that DJ’ing lights a fire in me and, like a force of nature, it propels me forward out of my individual journey and into the group journey, the Tribal Journey. I feel ecstatic dance is like a huge magnet that attracts in like-minded resonant vibrations so when I walk into an E-dance I know that I’m safe to move and express whatever is present in my body. It might not always be pretty but it is authentically me, right now, in this moment." Guest Minister of Music Deva Dawn brings her love of music and movement to the dance floor in celebration of community. She is a Massage Therapist by trade and has been blessed to study with numerous teachers and practices including Vin Marti (Soul Motion) Emily Conrad (continuum), 5Rhythms, Contact Dance, Authentic Movement and Ecstatic Dance. As a DJ, she aims to create a deep, richly flavored, and eclectic dance journey for joyous surrender.
