Dancing in the Streets - UpRooted Bucharest @JazzBook

Let’s get swing music and dancing to the streets! There is a certain freedom to dancing in the open air. To have the trumpets echo through the streets and into people’s houses. To having stand-by-ers curiously join the group and make the circle around the band bigger and bigger. The last day of the UpRooted Bucharest exchange will be completed by a moment where we take the event to the streets of Cotroceni, where we will be hosted by one of the most popular jazz club in Bucharest, Jazz Book. We will get to: Listen to The Morning Call play live music in the streets Dance and enjoy everyone’s presence Discover one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods of Bucharest Participate in a neighbourhood tour with a professional guide The event takes place at the same time as Bazar de Cotroceni, an yearly event in which locals from the neighbourhood open the doors of their yards and welcome visitors to discover the place they call home. So this will also be a great opportunity to get to talk to people who live in the neighbourhood and discover its history and their lives’ stories.
