Glenn’s ensembles have appeared at the Rainbow Room, the Kingsborough Bandshell, Midsummer Nights Swing, and at venues and events across the US and Canada. Line up: Glenn Crytzer - Guitar Ian Hutchison - Bass Dennis Lichtman - Clarinet Andrew Millar - Drums About Akemi Kinukawa Being passionate about bringing dancers out of everyone, Akemi Kinukawa has extensive experience in teaching Lindy Hop to diverse students including children, youth, Adults, ESL speakers and seniors. She is a founder and instructor of Swing Dance Astoria. She also teaches at You Should Be Dancing! Dance Studio in Manhattan as well as Brooklyn Swings. During the day, she is a teaching artist of Dancing Classrooms, also known as “Mad Hot Ballroom,” sharing her passion for partner dancing with children in public schools. She has performed and choreographed Lindy Hop routines for various events, including Midsummer Night Swing at Lincoln Center.
