~ Dancing with Darkness ~ December 19th at 7pm Earthdance Creative Living Project 252 Prospect Street, Plainfield, MA 01070 The darkest day of the year approaches. You are invited to dance with this darkness and explore all that is alive within the shadows. The dance will take place during the transitioning of the Winter Solstice and held similarity to an ecstatic dance, yet slower, more introspective, and grounded in emotional movement. Honoring the energy of winter as a season of rest, reflection, and regeneration. We will embrace and move through themes of grief, depression, fear, anger, death, oppression, and repression. Discovering the balance and wisdom these energies hold and the joy and love that is entangled within it all. The sonic journey will have flavors of electronica, downtempo bass, ambient soundscapes and live instruments. Kaitlyn Cronin will be leading a somatic warm-up journey through the exploration of darkness, for us to truthfully and honestly be with the entire spectrum of aliveness.
