Dancing with Nature Retreat, 4-11 March 2021, with Dolores Dewhurst-Marks About Being Nature: Being Nature project encourages people to discover their own way of connecting with deeper self and the natural world. To be empowered by authenticity and intuitive wisdom. Alive in the poeticality, beauty and mystery of everyday life. Developed through the practice of contemplation, writing poetry, contact improvisation and dancing with nature. About Retreat In this retreat we will give space and time for ourselves, and for nature. And meeting 'other' in a poetical context. To be intuitive and simple, Revealing our relationships with the elements - earth, water, air, fire. Letting those silent yet poetical conversations happen and acknowledging states when self is fully immersed or undefined. Not to become or get something, Tuning to the present knowing and its unknowing, To what is already here. ‘As we journey from the womb of the sea with our gaze of longing fixed on the stars, we have stopped off on this earth for a short spell of belonging. They unity of the four elements is what constitutes and sustains our existence in this world’. From The four Elements by John O’Donohue For these 8 days you are welcome to juice fast with me. The retreat will include dancing in nature - waterfalls, ocean, wild beaches. Contemplative movement & writing, Contact Improvisation, and body work. In our meetings we will welcome the non-verbal self. There will be freedom to discover your own way of relating and inhabiting the poetic material proposed. Beyond these hours you are encouraged to make space for contemplative writing. And there will be opportunity to share on the 8th day. Our time will be accompanied by the poetry of John O’Donohue, Mary Oliver, and David Whyte. Each day we will meet for 2.5-4 hours, in nature and/or in the studio (The Source).
