The Revisionists are a 7-piece swing band, led by Danny Jonokuchi, that performs for the international Lindy Hop community. Fueled by a love of swing, their music has been described as “smile-inducing” (DownBeat) as well as “crisp, clean, and refreshingly joyful” (Syncopated Times). Their passion is to play American jazz styles for swing dancers and jazz icon Stefon Harris praised the band for “allowing the music to be of service to dance.” In 2020, they were unanimously named the WINNERS of the inaugural Count Basie Great American Swing Contest for their virtual performance of “One O’Clock Jump”.
