Deep Water Art Laboratory - Deep JAMS and creative space

𝗗𝗘𝗘𝗣 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬, 𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟰 𝗞𝗼𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 This event brings together dance in deep water and creative time-and-space. We meet to explore: 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙖𝙣? 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙖𝙣? 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝗺 08:00 – 11:00 | Koh Mah In the morning - we enter the water. We practice Ocean Dance as a state of listening. This JAM space is for those who have already trained in freediving & Ocean Dance – an invitation to dive, dance and share weightless suspension. We explore our relationship with the underwater world, entering into the ocean-body that holds this island. Through breath, depth and movement, we tune into the fluid intelligence of the ocean and cultivate our child-like curiosity about the ocean environment & the beings that inhabit it. 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻: 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 15:30 – 18:00 | Waterfall House In the afternoon we gather on land to translate our aquatic experiences into form. Drawing, painting, writing, and sound may become extensions of what was opened underwater. This is a non-verbal container for reflection and expression, where creativity emerges from sensation rather than concept. Through an intuitive approach we explore the imprint of being on an island, surrounded by salt water in every direction. Co-organizer of Ocean Dance and CI dancer on land. Activist in transparency and anti-corruption politics. Master's degree in environmental law. Eco-activist and co-creator of the eco-somatic art documentary “Cuerpos de Agua” (Water Bodies). After experiencing a significant burnout while working in Mexican politics, she decided to explore somatics and follow the call of water. 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗪𝘂𝘇𝘆𝗸 [South Africa] Alexandra is a multidisciplinary artist and organizer working across contact improvisation, performance, and visual art. Her work explores human connection, improvisation, and encounters between people, cultures, and environments. Born and raised in South Africa, she studied Fine Art in Brussels, and has been exploring creative pathways in Thailand since 2021.
