LAUNCH PARTY – DIGITAL TOOL FOR IMPROVISATION DANSVERKSTÆÐIÐ (IS) x CONTEMPORARY ARTS FOUNDATION (PL) x IMPROV FOR DANCE ENTHUSIASTS (IS) ––––––––––––– You’re invited to celebrate the launch of a new digital platform made for and by movers, dancers, theatre practitioners, teachers, and improvisation explorers! This community-built tool lets you explore an evolving archive of improvisation exercises and supports self-facilitated learning and teaching spaces. We are working towards developing features that will allow you to plan your own classes and also upload and share your practices with other users. We are curious to get your feedback while we mingle in the kitchen and test the website. There will be a dance jam with live music running simultaneously in Studio 1. ––––––––––––– Join us for an evening of improvisation, live music, mingling and a chance to test the tool! ––––– Date: 26th of May, Monday, 2025 Location: Hjarðarhagi 47, Reykjavík Schedule: ––––– 18:00 - 21:00 Inauguration of the digital tool downstairs (kitchen) 18:30 - 20:00 Improv JAM (Studio 1) ––––– ––––––––––––– The event is free of charge with donations for musicians. ––––––––––––– Organized by Dansverkstæðið and Improv for Dance Enthusiasts, as the official conclusion of the REFLECT project, a collaborative community project rooted in dance & theatre improvisation. Developed in partnership with the Contemporary Art Foundation from Warsaw, Poland. ––––––––––––– The event provides drinks, a reflection book with prompts for your thoughts and feedback, a projection of the digital tool and a possibility to reunite with familiar dance enthusiasts that have been passing through projects over the past years :) Everyone is welcome; dancers, teachers, improv lovers, the curious and the community-minded! ––––––––––––– *The building is equipped with an elevator and is wheelchair accessible.
