You are invited to this creative music and dance experience… No Shoes, No Booze, Just Dance featuring music from: \\\\\\\ Hooplah /////// DJ Hooplah (Joshua Roberts) began DJing in 1993 after going to an underground dance party and experiencing live turntable mixing in person. He has been spinning ever since. With beginnings in trance and techno, his style blossomed following his introduction to Ecstatic Dance. Combining world-bass, ethnic music, tribal beats, breaks, house, psy-bass, and downtempo, he weaves multi genre journeys that take the dancer around the world. Hooplah has played sets all over, including events in: Salt Lake City, Trinity Hot springs, Burning Man, Incandescence, Decompression, and Idaho Falls. He also owns Xstatic Sound, providing large scale sound for festivals and dance venues. Hooplah will see you on the dancefloor! ~ music begins at 7pm, so please arrive on time ~ ~ healthful food and drink by Estrela Cafe ~ ~ massage by Amaya Natural Therapeutics ~ ~ free chocolate elixir samples by Sarvaa Superfoods ~ ~ guitar and singing sound bath by Nuriya to follow dance, at 9:30 ~ Ecstatic Dance is a free form dance party happening every Friday, rooted in the intention of a safe, sacred, and fun space. It is an accepting, non-judgmental space allowing for deep journeys into self-awareness and connections with others. All states of being are welcomed, whether happy, sad, expressive or not...the intention is medicine for all. Altar space is lovingly offered with the invitation to invoke the sacred within yourself. This is an alcohol-free event with no conversation and no phones on the dance floor.
