Ecstatic Dance Dj Training with Kareem Raïhani - Holland, Amsterdam. After teaching DJ trainings in Thailand and Ibiza, I’m delighted to be coming to Amsterdam to hold our Third (#3) Ecstatic Dance DJ Training. - If you feel there is a DJ inside of you - For these trainings I literally had to look back on almost 25 years of Dj-ing... the underground parties, the festivals, the gatherings... the preparation, the outcome, the hours/weeks/month/years in the studio, the choices I've made. Seeing and understanding why I had to go this path to come here, gives me a lot of joy and a big smile! It's been asked to me so many times over the last 20 years… “Can you teach me how to DJ...?” Never before have I felt to share the magic, until now..it's time to share my 25 years of experience. The tricks, the skills and most specially: the mistakes. Sharing music with people, creating magic, being in the flow with the dancers. All beautiful words...but I can tell you, your first DJ gigs will have nothing of that. You will be working like crazy and sweat even more as the dancers on the dance floor. On my first big gig, I was so nervous and my hand was shaking so hard that I couldn't get the needle on the record. Or this one: stopping the wrong record... Or putting the wrong tune that creates the "awkward" drop on the dance floor. How to deal with the loud sounds, feeling excited, wanting to perform without mistakes. During the DJ training you are going to learn how to come out of the awkward drop, or any other common mistake. Next to learning all the tricks and skills you need, we will work on overcoming stress full moments. For sure you will learn faster than I did… Understanding a DJ program is very easy, But to learn how to work with it takes practice. So we will practice... a lot! The exercises will save you around 5 years of regular practice ;). So what can you expect? - How to use the DJ programs and tools - Beat / Key mixing - How to use "flow" in your DJ set. - How to quickly overcome mistakes and stressful moments. - How to create an efficient and well structured music library - How to create your network and become your "local Ecstatic Dance Dj" - or any kind of Dj! - How to create magic on the dance floor. One thing, after 6 days, you will be ready to play! We will be working, practicing, laughing and dancing on our own dance floor, with a sound system, in the heart of Amsterdam in an amazing venue, with your very own dancing tribe.
