DJ Mojo is coming to Seattle to offer a small-group DJ training! If you’ve been DJing, this is the perfect chance to get some feedback and up your game! Don’t miss this chance to learn from one of the top DJs in the US! ✨ What to expect: 7 hours total - 4 hours of instruction on Saturday (3-7pm) 3 hours of guided practice Sunday (5-8pm) *Sunday hours may shift slightly. Notifications will be sent if times change. 🎟️ Cost is $275 per person and we will cap it at 6 participants. You’ll need your own laptop, controller and cables. We will have a central speaker for the class. Depending on the level of attendees and what they would like to focus on, we will adjust it accordingly to make it personalized to you. This is one reason why we limit it to 6 participants. 🗓️ DAY 1 - Instruction (hands-on) Part 1 - Fundamentals (1 hour) Introduction Music structure & genres Basic mixing techniques (beat matching, blending, EQ) Part 2 – Intermediate concepts (2 hours) Mixing in key Using effects efficiently Intermediate mixing techniques applied to UrbanKiz Learn some Mojo tricks Navigating a whole party (what to play, when, and how) Part 3 – Business and growth (1 hours) Finding and organizing music (Kizomba and UrbanKiz) Charging for your services (fee, terms) Promoting yourself and get hired Handling local events vs festivals 🗓️ DAY 2 - Practice session Practicing concepts taught on Day 1 Transitions from one genre to another Transitions from one DJ to another Personalized feedback Fun practice routine Q&A Note: If you're also doing the Train 'n Chill with Marietta and Pamelita this weekend, the DJ training times will not overlap with the workshops, so you will be able to do both.
