This is an online Zoom class designed to improve the way you dance or DJ by changing how you hear and understand the music. Whether you’re a dancer who wants more musical clarity or a DJ looking to sharpen genre awareness, this class helps bridge the gap between movement and sound. We’ll break down the core music styles you’ll encounter at Kiz events, including: Zouk, Semba, Kizomba, Tarraxinha, Tarraxo, and Konpa. Led by a DJ using real musical examples, this session will clear up common confusion between genres, highlight key differences, and explain how musical structure influences the way we move and connect on the dance floor. There will be space for live questions and discussion throughout.
