Join us for the Tango Fandango Dorset Tango Festival which following on from the hugely successful event this year, we will be holding again at the Allendale Centre in Wimborne in 2026! We are delighted to welcome back our friends and colleagues, Luis & Elizabeth and Alexandra Wood & Guillermo Torrens. Plus there is a special room next to the hall for KYMME KREATIONS Tango clothing and BALANCEO Tango shoes! Doors open 9.45am 10.00 - 11.15am - Workshop 1 Leo & Tracey Theme - Milonga with traspie is the original milonga in Argentina, developed from the original Milongueros. This workshop will help you explore the musicality and the different tools to master the milonga. 11.15 - 11.45am - Break 11.45 - 1.00pm - Workshop 2 Luis & Elizabeth Theme - Tango: Boleos - for the social dance floor. Low & high, timing and technique. 1.00 - 2.15 - Lunch break There is a cafe at the Allendale but plenty of lovely cafes and restaurants within walking distance. 2.15 - 3.30pm - Workshop 3 Leo & Tracey Theme - Colgadas are about connection but with this technique you will start to understand improvisation and the real variations of a playful change of axis. Colgada’s evolved in the Tango Nuevo style but they are one of the most original techniques of the old style. 3.30 - 4.00pm - Break 4.00 - 5.15pm - Workshop 4 Luis & Elizabeth Theme - Vals - Circular vs travelling in Vals? You can have both! ACCOMMODATION Wimborne has many hotels / B&B in the town to choose from or there is a Premier Inn 5.1 miles from the centre of Wimborne. VENUE The Allendale Centre Hanham Rd, Wimborne Minster, Wimborne BH21 1AS Tel: 01202 887247 PARKING DIRECTIONS If you are coming by road, head for the 3 Allenview car parks which have over 300 spaces (BH21 1AU) and are accessed from Allenview Road just off the Hanham Road - there is a large fire station on the roundabout at the turning. It’s £6.30 for the day and free after 6pm. There are several other car parks close by too. See you there!
