***CLASS 7:15-8:15pm*** ***JAM 8:15-9:30pm*** -- CLASS DESCRIPTION -- What if feet and legs were as sensitive and used for exploration as hands and arms? Would it make going upside down easier, or give us a wider range of possibility for movement in unfamiliar positions? In this exploratory class, we’ll heighten awareness in our feet and legs and strive for a bottom-up experience where instead of thinking (top-down) about possibilities, our feet and legs will sense, test, try new things and organically end with our bottoms up. -- CLASS FACILITATOR -- Wowlvenn Seward-Katzmiller has been loving CI for over 20 years and has taught it for over ten, though we’re all learning from each other, right? She’s a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and loves playing with CI to explore boundaries and connection, nervous system resilience and range of motion, and will soon have a new website up with all her somatic offerings so keep in touch if you want to know more. -- START TIME -- Class starts promptly at 7:15pm, so please arrive by 7pm to allow time for check-in. -- LOCATION -- Soft Medicine: 186 N Main St. Sebastopol, CA 95472 (upstairs, to the right) -- ENTRANCE FEE -- $20 for the whole night, whether you go to the class and/or jam. -- FINANCIAL ACCESSIBILITY -- A discount of 50% is available for marginalized peoples, such as BIPOC and LGTBQIA+ folx and those who are experiencing financial hardship..... or pay what you can; NOTAFLOF. -- CLOTHING REQUEST -- * Bring 1 or 2 changes of clothes, if you are prone to sweating while dancing. * Wear clothing that will keep your butt, genitals and nipples covered while moving in non-linear and unpredictable ways. Actually, more skin coverage is better for C.I movements. * Don't wear strong fragrances. * Please remove jewelry (and no belt buckles). -- SPACE ACCESSIBILITY -- The movement space is on the 2nd floor, accessible by the stairs or via an elevator in the back of the building.
