Hey yall!! This week's Durham Dance Wave and Afterwave is gettin spacey! Come and take your soul on a ride to the moon and back, and groove among the stars. Starting at 730, XYLEM will be fusing a curated playlist with live kaleidoscopic instrumentation in an hour and half sound journey through movement and vibration. For those who have never attended a dancewave before, please be conscious and respect people's boundaries and be aware that there is no talking or judgments on the dance floor. Be free to let the music move you. Following the stillness, we will have a group circle to share any insights you felt during the dance. Stick around for more music starting shortly after the circle breaks for a LIVE set from the Raleigh based psychedelic rock band The Phacts. They combine a diverse range of influences ranging from classic rock, funk, jazz, and world music to bring a unique high energy sound that keeps the crowd guessing. We ask for a donation of $13-21 if you plan on attending both events, or $8-13 if you're just coming to one, but noone will be turned away for lack of funds.
