Earth Day Ecstatic Dance

Come honor our Pacha-mama with an Earth Day Ecstatic Dance featuring River Jordan, DJ Green Fire of the Great Medicine Show! Jordan is a master at delivering Ecstatic Dance music medicine! Doors open at 6:30PM Dance starts at 7:00PM We'll have plenty of room to dance and spread out at the absolutely gorgeous Feragne Villa. There will even be space for spinning/flow arts, so feel free to bring your flow props as well. You can see more about the venue here: https://myweddingvilla.com/ If you’re unfamiliar with Ecstatic Dance: It’s often described as an interpretative mindful meditative movement. It is a Safe Zone of Radical Self Expression, Inclusion. It is also a Judgement Free zone, a talk free zone, as well as a Substance Free Zone. It’s practiced within purposeful parameters, which serve to cultivate a sacred space that allows the dancers to access a truly divine and exquisite experience: authentic expression, healing, integration, connection, realization.... An incubator for magic: we leave our shoes at the door; we refrain from talking on the dancefloor; we forgo all judgment of ourselves and others; we always get express consent to share contact with others; we follow the principle of “hell yes, or no,” which means: if it isn’t a “hell yes,” it’s a “no,” which we nonverbally communicate with a bow or by bringing our hands together in prayer pose. We ask that all in attendance adhere to these requirements. It’s also customary to set an intention for the dance, to consciously express our reason for showing up. Some come to let loose. Some come to explore movement, authentic expression, and mindful connection. Some come to dance, and some come to be danced. Looking forward to dancing with you all🌎💚
