Dancing is a ritual as ancient as humanity itself. Dance assists us to move difficult energies, it strengthens our bonds with those around us, and fosters courage, clarity, liberation, and good health. Gathering to move and shake connects us to our bodies; the core of our health - to the Earth; where all life comes from - and to community, whose wellbeing is intrinsically tied to our own. Every first Friday, we uphold the ancient tradition of dance, and best of all, we have FUN; one of the most potent medicines of all. Join us, and help sustain the wild, indomitable, loving human spirit. If this is your first ecstatic dance, please be sure to join us for opening circle shortly after 8pm for a simple rundown of healthy dance-floor culture and a brief warm up to get us synchronized and awake. Come as you are — fierce, soft, raw, playful, tender, radiant, messy, blissful, sensuous. There’s room for it all. _____________ 🌿 Bring with you a water bottle and something to share for the Community Abundance Table: fruit, treats, herbal goodies, or treasures to pass on. We provide cacao to for the heart buzz + energy flow. 𝕋𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕚𝕤 𝕒𝕟 𝕒𝕝𝕔𝕠𝕙𝕠𝕝-𝕗𝕣𝕖𝕖 𝕤𝕡𝕒𝕔𝕖. 🌀 WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW : • No shoes in the space except for specialty dance-only footwear. • Be prepared to practice consent. Ask yourself first, and then any other person before engaging closely with others. Receive a clear 'yes' before entering into their physical sphere on or off the dance floor. This can be done with body language/gestures or an ask. Practicing healthy boundaries allows for more openness and deeper experiences. Understand that everybody dancing is having a unique experience and may not wish to engage with others. • Keep phones off the dance floor. • Please keep talking off the dance floor - unless it regards to safety, consent, and boundary. This really helps us go deep! Feel free to hang and chat in the lounge area. • Organizers take brief iPhone vids to encapsulate the sweet memories & sometimes for promo use. Please let us know if you prefer to not be filmed. _____________ ▻▻ There are a handful of work exchange positions available including set-up, welcoming in guests at the door, and breakdown at the end of the night.
