Earthshake Ecstatic Dance Deep Seize & Passionflower

For Two years at Earthshake, we have flown an "Earth" flag above our dance. In part, this flag has been a play of the name: EARTH-shake. Of course, it has much greater meaning. For one: Ecstatic dance is a growing GLOBAL movement. We honor that dance (an ancestral, human way to connect, release, grieve, transform and celebrate) has always been and will always be a deep, integral part of the human experience - a part that is swelling again, through ecstatic dance and beyond, which we are honored to contribute to in some small way here in the Northeast US / New England. Above all: The Earth Flag flies to remember our shared humanity across all lands, all people, and all time. It represents the living planet that we all call home, which so many people in our communities work to protect, love and restore. The Earth flag is a beacon of peace, remembering that we are one planet, and one people, encouraging unity between all people, to stand for what we love, and reverence for the planet we share. This month, November 2023, Earthshake honors our collective humanity, holding a vision for the eroding of separation, the end of conflict, and peacefully resolution / remediation in lives, personally and globally, where all nations, religions, races, classes, ages, genders and abilities treat one another as beloved family, caring for one another and the planet that we all call home. Ecstatic dance is many things for many people: this month, let us lean into dance as PRAYER for a better world, PRAYER for peace, health, forgiveness, and unity -- a space for embodied release of heavy emotion --- and a space to practice compassion, amplifying care, connectivity, safety, and peace as far as we can, dancing with other feeling hearts from all walks of life. The world needs compassion, connectivity, vulnerability, care, empathy and love more than ever. Let's shine that love a little extra bright this month, like we always do at our gatherings. Join us to step into a space connectivity, release and prayer as we dance a better world, one simple night, together. Following our opening safety chat at 8:00pm, we'll have a brief, optional, collective prayer for peace, then ease into an epic journey by Deep Seize, followed by an ecstatic DJ set, focusing on themes of humanity, anti-war and connection (with plenty of classic tasty beats mixed in) to continue dancing a cathartic prayer for our planet. The group has pioneered a new sound, combining complex and ethereal melodic lines of live handpan with hard-hitting electronic grooves grounded in Hip Hop, Downtempo and EDM. Look forward to well-timed throwbacks, nostalgic treasures, unheard artists, and tearfully beautiful integration tracks. - Passionflower has an equal reverence for gnarly, high energy music, as slow, soulful, heavily music - and everything in between. Passionflower tracks are painstakingly scoured/filtered to deliver the most emotionally rich experience possible for dancers.
