Every time that Brando and Andrew play together, the dance floor explodes! The music, joy, reverence, prayer and laughter that this community brings raises the energy higher than almost anything else. Expect to feel elated from dancing alone... 🙋🏼‍♂️ If you're NEW to ecstatic dance please plan to attend our opening circle at 8:00pm for a rundown of ecstatic dance, listening and consent practices to better ensure a safe, rewarding experience. We're so glad that you want to join us! 🍊 Nourishment: Please bring any extra, surplus food, snacks, fruit, vegetables, potions, flowers, baked goods, or other treats that you have in abundance. We do not feature for-profit food. Instead, we emphasize sharing individual surplus at a big, community 'abundance table'. - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW : • Everyone should bring a water bottle and any treats or snacks to share at our monthly potluck table. • No shoes in the space except for specialty dance-only footwear. • Be prepared to practice consent. Ask yourself first, and then any other person, and receive a clear "yes", before entering closely into their physical sphere on or off the dance floor. This can be done with body language/gestures or an ask. Practicing healthy boundaries allows for more openness and deeper experiences. • Please keep talking off the dance floor - unless it regards to safety, consent, and boundary). This really helps! - 🌏 You are welcomed as you are. There is no right or wrong way to practice ecstatic dance as long as you are respecting yourself, respecting others, and taking pause to tune INWARD throughout the night, you are doing it correct!
