EARTHSHAKE presents: Road to Dance Beyond Friday, June 6th || 8PM - 12M Our east-coast family of ecstatic dance continue to grow and grow. In 2022, the DANCE BEYOND team brought their NYC community of artists, musicians and dancers to Camp Timber Trails, galvanizing a bond between the Western MA + NYC dance scenes. Earthshake, Dance Beyond, Pollinate, Dancestors, the Heartbeat Collective, ABCD Contact Jams and movers throughout MA and NY have been strengthening a web of relationships ever since, to create one greater east-coast community. We are thrilled to continue honoring this strong alliance by presenting this month’s Earthshake as a celebration of our very own western MA presenters who are part of the dance beyond lineup. This month's Earthshake is a pre-party, one week before Dance Beyond returns to take over Camp Timber Trail, where we all look forward to gathering for the legendary dance weekend once again. Come sample and celebrate a smorgasbord of western MA presenters who will be delivering workshops and performances at dance beyond, weaving samples of their gifts into our one-night dance beyond x earthshake prelude! Every June, we find ourselves back in the swirl of Dance Beyond — blissful dances on the beach, swimming in the lake, barefoot walks with friends through forest trails, late-night sounds drifting across the field, the glow of the amphitheater humming and beckoning…. Dance Beyond offers a deep sense of reverence in their curation and offerings, the land feels like home. It is a highlight of summer. This month, our Earthshake gathering becomes a doorway into that world. This night is part of a regional series of ‘Road to Dance Beyond’ events happening in Boston, DC, the Hudson Valley, Brooklyn, and right here in our Western MA dance community — each one a signal fire, building energy as we move toward the Campout together.
