ECSB Monthly Balboa

Join Elm City Swing & Blues at our monthly balboa lesson and social dance every last Tuesday of the month! We are excited to welcome Javier Johnson as our upcoming instructor for our Monthly Balboa series July through November Javier Johnson is a rocket scientist by trade, and he brings a powerful analytical sense which joins the mechanics of dance and the soul of expression. He is well-versed in all the swing dances, but specializes in Balboa and soul. As an international swing dance instructor, he’s traveled around the world sharing his joy of teaching and his passion for jazz dances. Javier was the founding member of Lindy Circle (now Hartford Underground) in 2007. Every month's balboa has a different intermediate level special topics lesson. Familiarity with purebal and balswing basics required. Schedule: 7 - 8pm lesson 8 - 10pm social dance Sliding scale pricing (please pay what you can) Lesson: $10-20 Dance only: $5-10
