As part of the official launch of the 2023 Toronto Tantra Festival (TTF), we are teaming up for the 2nd time with the sonic magic of 𝗖𝗜𝗨𝗧-𝗙𝗠’𝘀 𝗗𝗝 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻 and 𝗝𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 to create a joyful movement journey. We will also be taking this opportunity to introduce and mingle with some of our 2023 Facilitators and energetically open the gates to this year’s Festival! 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝗖𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗖 𝗖𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗛? ECSTATIC CHURCH is one of our signature TTF events, 𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 & 𝑻𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒆𝒄𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆! At ECSTATIC CHURCH… ~ our dance is our prayer! ~ we let our expression flow without shame or judgment, ~ we call in our BLISS, PLEASURE and LOVE, and ~ we connect with ourselves, each other, and the DIVINE! 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗨𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼! ********************* 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗪… There will be a little time to socialize and stretch before we start at 4:20. Jovana (SOROR MYSTICA) will guide us through some beautiful Tantra-inspired exercises to help us connect with ourselves and each other. You can expect heart-opening, sweet and playful invitations to drop deeper into your body and start making connections with kindred spirits. Once we are opened up and starting to vibrate as one, we will embark on our dance journey with DJ Medicineman, who will take us into earthy depths and celestial heights with his intentional live DJ set. We will then land together and journey even deeper with Jaime Verk’s celestial sound bath. We plan to get wild and sweaty! Wear something comfortable you can move freely in. And if those clothes make you feel like a Goddess/God, even better! We encourage sparkles, glitter, feathers, and anything else that is an expression of your joy and bliss! We dance barefoot! Shoes are not permitted on the dancefloor. There is no full nudity. EECSTATIC CHURCH is a sacred dance journey, so we ask for certain dance floor conduct: ~ Sounds of ecstatic bliss are welcome, but please no talking on the dancefloor. Almost everything can be said with a simple nod, bow, hug...or even just your eyes. ~ If you absolutely have to say something, make sure you whisper! You don’t want to pull anyone out of their journey. ~ Silently exercise your yes’s and no’s. If there is an invitation to dance, but you'd rather dance by yourself, putting your hands together in a prayer-like position is communicating "thanks, but I want to dance by myself now". If you receive this gesture, smile and do it back to express "thank you for honouring yourself". ~ This is a scent-free event.
